Create Conditional Formatting to Highlight Important Data

Applying conditional formatting to columns and datapoints allows quick identification of critical, actionable data. It’s also a fun way to personalize your reports.

To create conditional formatting:

  1. Open the report you wish to apply conditional formatting to in your “My Datasets” tab and click the “Edit” button in the top right corner.

  2. In the Visual Builder menu, select the “Format” tab.

  3. Click the edit icon to the right of the column name you want to add conditional formatting

  4. Scroll down to “Conditional Formatting” and click “Conditional Formatting +”

  5. Click “New Rule” and then click “Apply Rule to this Column”

  6. Select the Operator you wish to utilize: Equal, More, Less, Between, Less or Equal, More or Equal

  7. Complete the “Value” fields and click the “Filter Value Confirm” button

  8. The “Style” menu will appear. Scroll down to “Use Pill” toggle and slide on.

  9. Select a color that will stand out to highlight the critical information.

  10. Click “Save” button and save the report to keep the changes.
