Moving Library Content to My Datasets

Search our help articles

IntelliBoard Pro’s landing page is comprised of two main components: “Library” and “My Datasets.” The “Library” is the home of IntelliBoard’s default dashboards, charts, and reports as well as any datasets that have been created, published, and approved by your organization. Moving high priority and frequently used datasets to “My Datasets” allows for quicker access.

To move content from the “Library” to “My Datasets:”

  1. Find and open the dataset (dashboard, report, chart) in the “Library.”

  2. Click the +Add button Screenshot 2024-03-12 111638.png in the top right corner.

  3. The dataset will now appear in “My Datasets.”

  1. Go the Library and select the dataset(s) you wish to move to the Library. These can be selected in either Grid View or List View. For additional guidance, visit Library and My Datasets Overview

  2. In the blue Progress Bar select “Clone” or “Add as Link.” Both actions will automatically add the dataset to “My Datasets.”

    • Clone: Creates a copy of the dataset that can be edited and adjusted with Visual Builder. Clones are not updated if the Library version is updated by IntelliBoard. This is limited to users with Builder Permissions.

    • Add as Link: Adds the dataset in “My Datasets” but cannot be edited and adjusted with Visual Builder. It is automatically updated if the Library version is updated by IntelliBoard.

Frequently Asked Questions:

If you have Builder permissions, you can clone a dataset and then edit that dataset. Contact your IntelliBoard administrator for more information.

When a dataset is added to “My Datasets” through the “Add” button or “Add as Link,” it is the same report that appears in “Library.” If IntelliBoard or your Organization updates this report, it will automatically update in “My Datasets.”

If the report has been cloned to be edited in Builder, the report will not automatically update and may have to be recreated to reflect updates.
