Getting Started with IntelliBoard Pro Guides
Pro vs Lite
common question from Legacy users who have upgraded to Pro is concern about moving from live date to stored and refreshed data every 24 hours. sample response “As to your concern regarding the data being refreshed only once per day. I have double-checked with our development team and basically, they confirmed the same I explained during our call.
With IntelliBoard Lite live queries are sent from IntelliBoard to your LMS server and processed by your server. For heavy/large requests it creates a large query that is sent to your LMS and needs to be processed by your LMS server live and returned back to InelliBoard. The larger data you are trying to load in IntelliBoard lite the heavier load it will create on your LMS server. Additionally, we are processing only 1 query at a time. Each time you change filters, order, and click in IntleliBoard Lite it creates a new query that is sent to your LMS server and creates a traffic jam which can then lead to server time out and a large load on your LMS server.
Therefore, with IntelliBoard Pro we have changed the concept of data querying to improve system performance and impact on the LMS server. For this reason, we are migrating data from your LMS server and storing it on our servers. When you are running reports, the data is loaded from our server and creates no impact on your LMS server.
In order for us to migrate data from your LMS we are using the standard Moodle scheduled tasks to migrate the historical data and export new data daily with the lowest impact on your LMS server. Therefore, we are processing data only once a day.
You can always set up the time for data processing in the early morning, right before office hours, or before the time when reports need to be triggered/scheduled to have the latest data.
For some users, this can seem not so comfortable at first glance, but that's a huge improvement for fast and stress-free utilization of our reporting and no influence on the LMS serves. “
