A Dataset Definition refers to the structured description of a dataset and includes metadata such as: Dataset Name, Structure, Format, Schema, and other characteristics and contents. IntelliBoard allows dataset definitions to be exported to a JSON file that can be shared, backed up, or imported into another account. Reports, Charts, and Dashboards may be exported.

To export a dataset definition:

  1. Navigate to the Dataset you want to export in “My Datasets” tab.

  2. Click the “Export Dataset” button in the top right corner.

  3. A pop up window will appear to confirm the action. Click the “Export” button.

  4. A JSON file will download to your computer’s downloads file.

To import a dataset definition:

  1. Click the “Create New” button in the top right corner of your IntelliBoard dashboard.

  2. Select the “Import Dataset” option in the drop down menu.

  3. A pop up window will appear. Give the New Dataset a name and attach the JSON file of the dataset

  4. Click the “Next” button

  5. A confirmation window will appear. Click the “Create” button. Once the import is complete, the new dataset will open.
