Overview:

IntelliBoard uses a persona-based approach to deliver customized data analytics solutions tailored to the unique needs of learners. By focusing on the specific responsibilities and challenges that learners face, IntelliBoard ensures that the most relevant data is available, helping learners make informed decisions to put learners in the driver’s seat of their educational journey by ensuring they have the insights needed to not just succeed, but excel.

Role Summary:

Learners are at the center of their academic journey, responsible for actively engaging with course materials and tracking their progress to achieve academic success. With access to real-time data, learners can monitor their grades, review course progress, and stay informed on upcoming or past-due activities. By utilizing these insights, learners can make proactive decisions, address areas of concern, and continuously work toward their academic goals. With a clear overview of their performance, learners are empowered to stay on track and take ownership of their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Academic Progress:

    • Track personal performance across all enrolled courses, including grades, submissions, and progress toward completion.

    • Identify academic strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring continuous advancement toward academic goals.

  • Stay Engaged with Course Activities:

    • Review upcoming and past-due assignments, quizzes, and discussions to stay on top of coursework.

    • Monitor activity submissions and deadlines to prevent falling behind in academic responsibilities.

  • Identify and Address Academic Challenges:

    • Recognize early signs of underperformance by analyzing course grades and feedback.

    • Take proactive steps to seek help, whether through instructor assistance, tutoring, or additional study resources.

  • Take Ownership of Learning Journey:

    • Manage time effectively and balance course loads.

Datasets:

These datasets are identified by IntelliBoard as providing critical information to Learners. The Learner Org Role Template includes these datasets. Organization Administrators my provide additional datasets or may not include all the datasets below. Contact your administrator for questions regarding dataset availability.

Learner Dashboard:

This dashboard combines a line chart of grades per course, a tabular report of course progress, and a tabular report of activities per course. The dashboard can be filtered by course category and courses as well as course start date. It is designed to be filtered to a single learner.

My Grade Progression: This chart shows the grades of a single user, separated by course. It is intended to be used by a learner show their grades in enrolled courses.

  • Purpose: To provide learners with a clear visual representation of their grades across all enrolled courses.

  • Use: Learners use this chart to track and compare their academic performance in each course over time, allowing them to identify strengths and areas for improvement.

My Course Progression: This report provides the student with a list of all enrolled courses, progress/completion status, grade, enrollment start date, and completion date for each course. Each course name is displayed as a link to the course within the LMS.

  • Purpose: To offer learners an overview of their enrollment status, course progress, and grades for all courses in one report.

  • Use: Learners use this report to monitor their progress in each course, including key dates and completion status, ensuring they stay on track with academic goals.

My Course Activities: Activities past and present, filtered by student, including indicator of due date within 7 days.

  • Purpose: To give learners a detailed view of their upcoming and completed activities, along with due dates.

  • Use: Learners use this report to manage their workload by tracking which activities are due soon, helping them prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

First Submission Monitoring Dashboard:

The First Submission Monitoring Dashboard combines two datasets, both narrowed to users with a learner role in the course. Activities included in the datasets are assignments, forum/discussions, and quizzes.

First Learner Submission (Assignment, Forum/Discussion, Quiz): The Learner First Submission identifies users with learner role with an active enrollment in a course who have submitted an assignment, forum/discussion or quiz in a selected time period. Users who have not submitted to one of these activity types is not included in the dataset. This datasets is often used as a base for Census reporting.

  • Purpose: To track learners who have submitted their first assignment, forum, or quiz, serving as a key indicator of initial academic engagement.

  • Use: This dataset is used by learners and administrators to monitor early course engagement and is commonly applied in Census reporting to ensure active participation.

Missing Learner Submission (Assignment, Forum/Discussion, Quiz): The Missing Learner Submission identifies users with learner role with an active enrollment in a course who have not submitted an assignment, forum/discussion or quiz to a course. Users who have submitted an assignment, forum/discussion or quiz to the relevant course are not in this dataset. This datasets is often used to encourage learners to complete an item to confirm financial aid.

  • Purpose: To identify learners who have yet to submit required assignments, discussions, or quizzes, signaling a lack of participation.

  • Use: This dataset is used to encourage learners to submit outstanding activities and is often leveraged to meet financial aid compliance requirements.
