The second method, Time Spent by Page Views, is calculated by IntelliBoard and tracks how much time learners actively interact with individual pages or activities. It calculates time based on actions like clicking the mouse or typing on the keyboard. Time is recorded in chunkssegments, starting at 10 seconds and capping at 5 minutes unless there’s another interaction. This gives a detailed view of how much time learners spend engaging with specific course content. You can find this data in Builder in IntelliBoard under the User Tracking Total Category.

IntelliBoard offers an optional Time Tracking feature for more precise engagement data. This feature pings users every 30 seconds and requires proof of engagement, such as a mouse click, movement, or keystroke, within 60 seconds of inactivity. The 30 and 60 second ratio is the default and this may be edited in the plugin settings. This method provides a detailed and accurate picture of time spent actively engaging with course content.
